
It’s a family classic for a reason and on rotation in most Aussie kitchens. Here is our version, with a few options for those who may want to add in some extra veggies.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 x onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp crushed garlic (or freshly crushed)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp or a splash of Corporal Freddies Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 x 500g jar bolognese pasta sauce (or your preferred flavour sauce)
- 1 x 400g tin crushed tomatoes
- 500g beef mince
- 500g spaghetti pasta (or your pasta of choice)
- (Option) 2 x carrots, finely chopped
- (Option) 2 x celery sticks, finely chopped
- (Option) Parmesan and chopped parsley for garnish
Method
- On low heat add olive oil to the pan
- Add onion and garlic and cook until soft
- Add ground beef and cook until brown
- Add tomato paste and stir through
- Add tin tomatoes and jar of pasta sauce and stir through
- Add Corporal Freddie's Worcestershire and stir through
- (Option) Add optional veggies if desired
- Cook for 30 minutes with lid on, stirring occasionally
- While cooking, cook spaghetti pasta in pot
- (Option) add a pinch of salt and 1 tsp olive oil
- Cook pasta until al dente and strain
- Serve the spaghetti pasta with bolognese sauce
(Optional) Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top and parsley if desired and ENJOY
