Our Story
IT ALL BEGAN WITH FREDDIE
Corporal Freddie's is named in honour of Lance Corporal Frederick "Freddie" Cameron.
Our story begins in 1946 in Eaglehawk, Victoria, when Freddie returned home from WWII. Like many Aussies rebuilding life after the war, Freddie found comfort in the simple things. Good company. Hearty food. And flavour that made people pause and say, “Now that's a bloody good sauce.”
In his kitchen, Freddie began crafting thick, full-flavoured Worcestershire using traditional ingredients and plenty of care. Before long, “Pa’s sauce” became part of every family meal. Rich, balanced and full of character. The call around the table was always the same. “Where’s Pa’s sauce?”
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE
To change the way people think about Worcestershire, showing them how much more it can be with Freddie's.
KEEPING TRADITION ALIVE
Mike grew up with those same bottles on the family table. Made by hand, shared with pride, and always the first bottle passed around the table. He learned the craft from his mum, who carried on Freddie’s recipe, keeping it alive through everyday cooking and family gatherings.
And so in 2019, after Mike and Keri married, that tradition became part of their story too. The flavour was too good to keep in the family. So they set out to bring it to other tables, made from the same recipe. Small batch. Full of depth. True to where it all started.

These days, plenty of sauces are quick to make and easy to forget. We’re here to keep a family recipe alive.
Made in Geelong, Australia, our Worcestershire stays true to Freddie’s recipes. Vegan, and free from preservatives and artificial flavours. Crafted with care, patience and full flavour that has stood the test of time.
